Art-A-Whirl

ACW Artists Whirled over 5,700 people at Art A Whirl this Year! Young Artists Give Us Hope for the Future.

We welcomed 3,700 in the Fox Den at Solar Arts https://www.arttochangetheworld.org/fox-den/  and 2,000 at Blood on the Pavement Exhibition https://www.arttochangetheworld.org/team-crescendo-progress/ in the Northrup King Building.

We are thrilled to think that 5,700 now know about the work we do.  We are so proud of the Art to Change the World Collective.

One Highlight: Barbara gave free art lessons to children.  The lesson for the day was patterns. One young artist drew a figure and shared that it was Barbara.  Then she told Barbara that the blue, turquoise and burgundy shape above was Barbara’s house – which are actually the colors of Barbara’s house.  You can’t make it up!   Next our young artist drew all the different shapes and named them.  The last one above was called “black hole”.  What? I asked her to repeat it.

Yes, our 4.5 year old hope-for-the-future had included “black hole” to her shapes.

Then she hugged my legs and thanked me before she left.  Smart with Heart.  Hope!
