1. River’s Gate
Series –  WWJD Down By the River
Catherine Palmer
Acrylic on Canvas in Light Wooden Frame
12″ x 12″
Framed (13″ x 13″)
$250.00

Abstract Painting of the river dams and locks –
In this work I was speaking to the idea that creative practice is more like water in a river or a well.
As artistic creativity fills up in me it will then pour it out into a creation.
Sometimes I run into blocades, but nevertheless the creativity keeps flowing.
It may have been slowed down, but a new work will surely emerge.

I am an acrylic painter for whom process is more important than concept or narrative.I use color and texture on canvas or panels, starting with free flowing gestures.  I like making a mess and pulling out composition from there.  My work is influenced almost entirely by the act of painting itself, and is spontaneously molded by internal and external forces.  Once I know the path of the painting I slow down my pace and make refining marks from there.  I strive to evoke a sense of looking into space or floating through space.

3. Valley of Fire
Catherine Palmer
Acrylic on Canvas
24″x28″
(gallery wrapped /sides painted black/ wired and ready to hang)
Retail $672.00 – Non-profit $550.00 (unframed)
If framing is requested add additional $500.00 to the price for a floater frame.

This work is derived from the beautiful landscapes of the New Mexico desert.
I was fortunate to participate in an Artist in residency through Gallery 408 in Carrizozo, New Mexico.
While I was there, I visited a variety of local parks. The Valley of Fire is an old lava field. The surroundings of the park captures an interesting mix of terrain: the yukka, carrizozo grasses and hardened rolling rocky lava. The landscape was incredible to see first hand. Influenced by my experience I created this painting.

Artwork Statement: Many of us have experienced that bond between animal and human.  I wanted this piece to be a celebration of a dog’s life.  The dog in this piece is so free he even has a pair of wings.  Some might see this as a story of a dog that has passed but I see it as showing the joy that one feels when they see the joy that a dog has as it leaps through the air- with or without wings.

This three-dimensional wall piece is a tribute to all the amazing teachers that work with kids to teach them to read. My daughter struggled to learn to read, possibly undiagnosed dyslexia so when her fifth grade teacher was finally able to bring her the skills she needed she really soared! Now she is a children’s librarian! Every time I look at this piece I think of this teacher and many others that make such a difference in student’s lives.

Debra Ripp

10. Orbs Among the Hillocks
Debra Ripp
Pastel and Graphite on paper:Framed
14.5 x 18.5″
$250

Orbs among the Hillocks came about as an observation of nature combined with an imaginative exercise. What if these hillocks were visited by something that doesn’t belong with hillocks. For example, what if some oranges rolled in among the hillocks.  Would that be as incongruous as a piece of trash?  I think it might, and that is my point, trash doesn’t belong with other natural forms.

I am a Mixed Media artist which means I am willing and love to explore all possible media, anything that will make the image emerge stronger and obtain the voice it is meant to have. My favorite thing is to vacillate between media and observe how the image can transform and mature as it is manifested in different clothes, so to speak.

11. Rock Slumber
Debra Ripp
Mixed Media Collage on Canvas
12 x 12″
$200

Rock Slumber is an observation and a  contemplation of nature. I am fascinated with how these rocks get stacked up on each other and how once they settle into each other.   They seem to sleep on top of each other, they find their place and never move.  This observation is to honor the constant presence of natural process, inert or not, and how nature can be appreciated.

I am Mixed Media artist which means I love to explore all possible media, anything that will make the image emerge stronger to obtain the voice it is meant to have. My favorite thing is to vacillate between media and observe how the image can transform and mature as it is manifested in different media, including 3D media, such as assemblage.

12. Towers: Russia
Debra Ripp
Mixed Media Collage/Framed
34 x 40″
$800

Towers is a mixed media collage about imaginary travel. There was a time that I wanted to travel when I had no funds to do so.  So, I decided that I would collage my way there,  a method of finding another path when the typical way is obstructed.  I also wanted to reveal aspects of a place that wasn’t one dimensional.  It’s about how a place can have wondrous beauty and reveal tragedy at the same time.

I am a Mixed Media artist which means I am willing and love to explore all possible media, anything that will make the image emerge stronger and obtain the voice it is meant to have. My favorite thing is to vacillate between media and observe how the image can transform and mature as it is manifested in different clothes, so to speak.

13. Live a Considered Life

The Wise Ones (No Silos) and The Un-Wise Ones (Think Alike Silo)
Mixed Media  Fabricated clay, wood, found objects
24” X 36” 2 works.
$1000

Inspired by my “Motivationals” series,  Live a Considered Life  includes two companion works of  gender neutral personages sharing how living  in a “think alike silo” creates  a colorless boring culture feeding on itself. They see nothing, hear nothing and say nothing.  Embracing the concept of “no silos” produces a  colorful evolving culture full of a positive exchange of ideas, help creating our own personal narratives and leading to positive social change.

“We tell ourselves the tragic story of our lives and then think we can justify us playing the role of the “broken hero” or the “grizzled realist” but the fact of the matter is that if this is the story we chose to tell about ourselves we are leaving out the good parts and doing a terrible disservice to ourselves and anyone who has been good to us along the way.“  Morgan Bridges

It is our choice how we create our own narratives – past, present and future. It is our choice to make each day bring a spot of joy.  Plan each day with a joy experience included. For yourself and for others.

Life is a menu.  When something you love goes off the menu, replace it with something even more soulful.

14. Wings

Barbara Bridges
18” x 80”    5 part Series   or could be hung separately.
Assemblage -Mixed Media
$500 non-profit   $800 retail

Wings  examines the concept of “Love”.  Many have tried  to define this word. Love encompasses a range of strong  and positive emotions. An example of this range of meanings is that the love of a mother differs from the love of  partner, which differs from the love for food.

As biological human beings, we have a capacity for all different  kinds of
LOVE

You have the power to identify your version of love and then to  let it take wing.

16. Flowers from Home Depot: Blue Violet
Candy Kuehn
Enhanced photograph on archival paper
22″ x 18″ (framed)
$350

At the Quarry Northeast Home Depot, I spent more time at the end of that parking lot, taking pictures of the wild grasses and seasons’ flowers, a sumac forest in the background, than in Home Depot itself. There was a side path, that led into this enchanted woodland, between the parking lot and freeway. It’s all gone now, bulldozed, because I was not the only one who was enraptured by this bird, plant and animal sanctuary, homeless folks started living there, obviously not what the shopping center owners wanted.

17. Just Made it Yesterday: Red Trees
Candy Kuehn
Enhanced photograph on archival paper
22″ x 28″ (framed)
$425

I was given a show, through Kolman-Pryor Gallery, (now Kolman-Reeb) at the Hewing Hotel. The gallery features nature inspired abstract art. My iPhone work fit both perfectly.

Anita Sue Kolman, curating the works, wanted a red piece by the gym, on the lower level. I went back to studio and made this on my phone, then fixed and enlarged it, with various apps on the computer. It’s a tree by the studio’s parking lot. It’s been an audience favorite, this spontaneous afternoon’s moment!!!

This is from my first Photoshop Class. I had access to a scanner. I scanned my favorite fabrics. This cashmere piece, was beautifully over-dyed many times, so I chose a lovely part that fit on the scanner. My camera picture of the garden /driveway, after the rain fit perfectly, defining the dye, felt primordial. I love swamps, They feel like art supplies, for our Earth. The pre-swamps, in our planet history, is where life began.

19. Southern Magnolia
Megan Moore
Oil on canvas
60″x 30″
$3,600
(Non-profit price $3,000)

Southern Magnolias emerged as a theme in my artwork after a visit to my childhood home in June of 2023, where the magnolias were in bloom and dominated my memories with their visuals and scent. The subject matter fits into my career-long inspiration from the natural world and also links to my more recent interest in mediation and inner life. The blooming of magnolia flowers symbolizes a personal/individual blooming and relates to the mantra, “Om mani padme hum,” which translates to “the jewel is in the lotus”.

Megan Moore
Collage and oil paint on paper
11″ x 14″ framed to 14.25″ x 17.25″
$350
(Non-profit price $300)

The background collage of this painting was created by Shannon Cronin, my sister, who is also an artist and lived in Philadelphia at the time of this creative collaboration. I studied the background she created to find a composition, and chose the color indigo to dominate the scene. This was part of a series with designated color schemes.

The ladder is a symbol of connection from earthly dwelling to the expansive sky, from the small lives we lead, to nature itself and the cosmos far beyond earth.

Megan Moore
Oil on paper

This work was completed at a time when I was focused on making a pattern effect of the composition with my subject matter. It was after a winter when our home had housed many box elders. This is an example of my approach to magical realism in still life. I was also aiming to paint more quickly and loosely, while still capturing details to engage the viewers’ eye.

David D. Haynes

22. Minneapolis in January
David D. Haynes
Acrylic on canvas
73 × 48 inches
$500

In January 2026, federal agents acting on behalf of the American government, and its president, shot and killed two U.S. citizens on the streets of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Renée Good and Alex Pretti died exercising their rights of free speech and assembly.

After the killings, government officials defamed them as terrorists and lied about what happened; federal officials declined to cooperate with an investigation by the state of Minnesota.

“Minneapolis in January” exposes a moment when the federal government terrorized its own citizens as a political tool. The painting has no focal point, no rest for the eye; its expressive red palette suggests fury and chaos in the wake of the killings and yet the spare hints of teal also suggest hope.

Democracy can be weakened at such moments. Yet thousands of Minnesotans showed democracy can be strengthened when citizens stand united against immoral state power. This painting remembers the victims, even as the lies of a corrupt government encourage us to forget.

In mid-February, 2026, federal officials announced that the immigration enforcement action in Minneapolis (Operation Metro Surge) was ending.  https://daviddhaynesart.org/

A raw, visceral reaction to the killings in Minneapolis and the raw, visceral painting that resulted

I began work on the painting shortly after the death of Renée Good; the project gained urgency on Jan. 24 when agents killed Alex Pretti. I read all I could about what happened and watched all the horrific videos. As a former long-time journalist, I felt was my duty to do the research before moving definitively forward. What I felt in the end was a primal age at the injustice and the tragedy not only of those deaths but the very idea of invading a city with what, as Springsteen said, amounted to a private army. I came away with deep admiration for the stand that citizens of your city took.

Stairway to Heaven is an ethereal, dream world depicting a spiritual plane into the Great Beyond. I hope those who have experienced grief can find peace within this painting.

My painting series, Tree Hands, uses hands as roots to communicate that we are nature. What is done to nature is done to us. This specific piece, Wisdom, brings up the question about what future are we passing on to younger generations? The energy is cautionary while being hopeful. Younger generations rely on the wisdom of older generations and older generations rely on the hope of the younger generations.

Liisa Lê
Acrylic on Canvas
18″ x 24″ x 1 1/2″
$875.00

This painting of three cranes dancing in the shallows is more than a serene scene. It is a testament to dignity, connection, and grace in a later season of life. Like these cranes, every senior deserves a supportive environment in shallow safe waters where they can move with freedom and be seen for their enduring beauty. Their dance reminds us that community, joy, and purpose are not privileges reserved for the young, but fundamental rights at every stage of life. Let us ensure our homes and society provide the space for such dances to continue.

Just as this bird thrives in an ecosystem that preserves its safety and beauty, our seniors deserve environments that honor their wisdom, ensure their comfort, and protect their right to peace. I am grateful to creating spaces where every individual can stand in their own light, valued and seen, surrounded by the stillness and respect they deserve.

The Sherburne wetlands teach a quiet lesson: what is preserved, prospers. When land is respected, shielded from being drained or forgotten, it returns the favor with breathtaking life. People are no different. To create a space where someone is truly seen, their history honored, and their needs met without struggle, this is how we build a world where dignity is not earned, but inherent. It is the deepest form of reciprocity: to offer safe harbor, and in return, witnesses a human spirit’s fulfillment.

Owen Brown
Acrylic on canvas

When times are looking bad, I paint still lifes. Still do. Sometimes I buy whatever was cheapest at a florist. Sometimes I paint from memory.  Sometimes I would paint from a photograph. It doesn’t take long to lift my spirits! That’s a wonder of painting.

Owen Brown was born in Chicago, trained as a classical musician, took his first art class at 23, and much of what he’s wanted to do since then has been paint. Owen Brown
Acrylic on canvas
16″ x 39″
$1560 retail, $1092 non-profit

The Art Shanties is an art project held every year there’s enough frost, in mid-winter. Lately it’s been on Lake Harriet. Groups of people put up a shanty the size of a hut used by ice fishermen, and do something courageously outrageous and artful. I go every year.  This is a painting from it, but not done in plein aire! Too cold. It was painted back in the studio.

Owen Brown was born in Chicago, trained as a classical musician, took his first art class at 23, and much of what he’s wanted to do since then has been paint. Brown holds degrees from Yale College and the University of Chicago, and was a degree student at California College of the Arts. He lived for over 30 years in San Francisco, where he was represented by Meridian Gallery. He now lives in Minneapolis.   owenbrownartist.com

38. Mountain Face
Denise Lau
Acrylic paint and texture on canvas
21″ x 23″
$500

I enjoy painting landscapes because I find nature to be calming and a source of happiness. Due to pareidolia, I can usually see faces in rocks, trees, mountain sides, and in the clouds. In this painting I wanted to give the viewer the opportunity to see the faces the way I do by using texture compound to sculpt the faces out of the landscape and paint them in a way that you can see how it looks through my eyes.

39. Waterfall Conversation
Denise Lau
Acrylic on canvas
18″ x 24″
$500

Water can be so beautiful, peaceful, and calming.  This textured piece is in a place where the water hasn’t been polluted by the presence of humans.  The clean water sparkles in the sunlight as the faces of the mountain sides talk about the water and the changes in the weather patterns.  Global warming is still affecting the moss growth on the rock.  Can you see the faces in the rocks having a conversation?

40. Aurora Series
Denise Lau
Acrylic on canvas
16 x 20″ each or 48 x 60″ total painted surface
$500

Getting to see the aurora is such a beautiful experience the way it moves and changes. These were all painted together so I feel like they belong together but I would consider selling them separately. The aurora has been showing up a lot over the last couple of years and it brings such an appreciation for our planet, environment, world, and universe. It makes people think about how privileged we are that our skies are clear enough to see it. In areas of the world where the pollution and smog are too thick, they will only get to see this in photos that others take who live in a cleaner environment. I’m hoping it inspires people to work towards a cleaner world so we can continue to enjoy the wonders of nature.

41. Hot Chocolate
K.D. McDonald
Acrylic on canvas
30″ x 40″
Gallery wrapped/sides painted $425

This painting seeks to illustrate not only the value of friendship and the importance of social space but also offers to acknowledge prosperity and thriving. Representations of black women in leisure space goes somewhat against the grain. It bucks the stereotypes of eternal struggle, assumed hardship, or life on the periphery. The women have time, they are looking out onto the world from a higher vantage point. They have choice and agency.

42. Shiny Happy People Dancing
K.D. McDonald
Acrylic on canvas
18″ x 40″
gallery wrapped/sides painted $325

Recently research has proven the value of not only physical movement but also dancing. I wanted to remind people that we are never too old to dance. Dance transcends differences and unifies diverse groups of people as music can. The rainbow speaks to the inclusion of LGBTQIA people in the self-expressive joy of dancing.

Laura Burlis
Watercolor on paper
15″h  x 21″w framed
(12″h x 18″w unframed)
$280

This is a painting of the hilly landscape in the driftless area of southeastern Minnesota. The fullness of the summer landscape on a sunny day: the hills and sky, the valleys with their farms, streams and homes; this is what I tried to capture.

Laura Burlis is a painter and polymer clay artist who takes her subject matter from the natural world. She is an avid gardener and lover of nature. She loves plants and landscapes, and was Artist-in-Residence at Glacier National Park in 2017. Laura has worked with polymer clay for fifteen years. Art has made her own life meaningful, and she enjoys helping others to enhance their own lives through creative self-expression. Laura has taught at the Textile Center of MN, Minneapolis Community Ed, Courageous heArts, Clay Squared to Infinity, Phipps Center for the Arts, and Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts.

I painted this on the summer solstice in my garden. The solstices and Equinoxes of the year are very important to me spiritually. 45. Four Seasons, Boxed
Laura Burlis
Acrylic paint on four wooden boxes assembled into one piece
30″ w x22.5″h x 3″ d
$440

Living in Minnesota, I’m very conscious of the changing of the season. I love summer, and dread winter. Here I try to give each season their due, appreciating the nature of each time of year, and what it makes me think of.
Spring: the emergence of new shoots, the excitement of new possibilities and growth.
Summer: it’s all about the sun- the long days of sunshine, warmth, and fullness.
Fall: Fruits mature; leaves finish their life cycle, plants put away the energy they’ve stored.
Winter: the days are short and nights are long, so it’s time to appreciate the moon and nightsky.

55. Long Time Passing
Becca David
Acrylic on Canvas

Price with frame: $4,645 Unframed: $4,200

This painting was inspired by the folk song “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” by Pete Seeger and Joe Hickerson. The song, and the painting, are a reflection of life; more specifically life in a war torn society. The painting represents the pods of poppies, frequently used to symbolize the sacrifice of soldiers who are killed in war.

This work was initiated during the rehearsals of a social justice activist band. The inherent nature of this multimedia piece is the interaction of music and art to create joy. Each square was born from a different song. Folks with a visual impairment can interact with the high contrast black “stitching” that is made from paper applied to the board. You can feel the texture of the paper the rhythm of the mark making. As you move your hands and eyes across this nod to the patchwork like efforts of social justice activism, you may just hear the music that inspired it.

57. Fragmented Play
Becca David
Triptych, mixed media on board
24” x 72”
$1200 retail

($900 Non profit price)

I chase the the call of hireath, a Welsh word loosely translated that means a longing for a place one cannot quite find. I have felt it since I was a small child digging in the creek bed and wondering “What wide place will I find at the end?” I answer the call of that timeless place in my journeys in clay and paint.

This painting is symbolizes the idea that even if we have experienced trauma in our lives, we can put pieces of our memories together and find a way to introduce play back into our routines and find joy.

“Fragmented Play” is constructed of several layers, beginning with the wood, layered, watercolor paper and a mixture of watercolor and acrylic paints.  Layers of paint, glaze, marker and impressions of non-recyclable plastics were used in this process. It may be hung vertically or horizontally to best suit it’s installation. space.

58. Internal Spiral
Jillian Collins
mixed media, upcycled/repurposed materials
20″W X16″H X 5″D–enclosed shadow box dimensions
$650

This piece is called “Internal Spiral”. It is a handcrafted 3D mixed-media diorama using raw, upcycled, and repurposed materials.  It measures 11.5″x8.75” (closed) and 11.5” x 15.75” (fully open) and can free stand without being fully open. I think tiny things capture an essence of nostalgia, reminders of things and dreams from the past. They also represent a desire for things present, those things we wish for now but perhaps the only practical way to obtain such dreams come in the form of a miniature. This piece encompasses all of those things. Nostalgic memorabilia wrapped up in a cozy setting, just as appealing to me now as when I was a child. I can hear my grandfather’s grandfather clock as I wander past, peeking at the notes in the box, smelling the coffee on the table, then ascending the whimsical spiral staircase in search of the next adventure. There’s that desire, almost an ache, that long-lasting daydreams bring with it. Taking such a vision and building it into a tiny reality fulfills a small part of that desire.
