Updates

    • Action: Scorpio to send social media engagement reminders each morning
  • Cards  – Johnny and Scorpio
    • Lot of talk about whether it’s elegant, or how it has been in the past
    • Purpose: bring cards to any event/location to share
    • Lots of love for the lots of color! 
    • Barbara – I’d like to send to the printer soon! 
    • Layl – feedback – adjust the background/grayscale 
    • Action – Barbara to ask for a proof 
  • Social Media Plans Scorpio . Show Website
    • Made a list of what everyone needs to do to engage on social media
    • Would like people to follow Art to Change the World on Instagram etc. 
      • All Action: Like, comment, or post a recent post
      • All Action: Send Candy a follow up email with information that you’d like her to post about

  • Coaching Project/ Grant Writing and Intern News –Abby
    • 3 Youth applicants from the following Geographies: Northeastern Mps. Mps. and Greater MN, budget tweaked to $30,000 approx. $10k/candidate 
    • Applying for Awesome Foundation Grant – up to $1000
    • Must Serve Northern Minneapolis 
    • May reapply on a monthly basis
    • Intern updates: We’re featured on FB, learn about us there and/or reach out! 
  • Introduction: Cory
    • Learned about ACW through Layl (both on board at WARM) 
    • Painter
    • Part of ADP project 
  • SWAP Project Plans  Scorpio and Martje
    • SWAP for Children
      • Approaching schools (Martje has done work with Pymonth on recycling and getting away from big companies) 
      • Has approached her son’s school 
      • Barbara: ACW doesn’t have much money to put into this 
      • One school project? Or multiple schools?
        • Maybe starting with one school as a model 
      • Action: Barbara/Scorpio/Martje to set up a meeting 
        • Building within the school structure – lessens liability 

ADP – Still to Do:

  • Overview Show ADP Website – Barbara
    • We have a search bar!! 
  • Overview of Canvassing Committee – Judy or Lucy
    • Without Huxley money = $750 raised. 
    • 25 coupons or gift cards 
    • Judy: telling folks April 20th as deadline
    • Bags are beginning stuffed on the 24th 
      • Everyone who can be at the Huxley on this day – please come!
    • Bags have 4-5 physical items
    • Only a few churches to put in flyers (was a courtesy anyway)  
      • Susan: I was asking about whether I as an artist could put a post card in each bag, I learned the Post Card Principle from The Wise and Great Kat Corrigan, who abandoned business cards years ago. Business cards, she says, go into the laundry. Post cards go on the fridge.
    • Barbara – may I have permission to ask places on Central to go up and down and make asks?
      • Action: Barbara will send Lucy and Judy a list of who she contacted 
  • Overview of Artists Committee – Layl
    • Collecting contacts…folks usually wait until the last minute. Some have come through
    • Social media question: Is it worth it to put in all of the social media links to all the artists on the spreadsheet.
      • Answer: handle more helpful! 
  • Overview of PUPP Committee– Catherine and Susan
    • PUPP meeting yesterday – went to Sociable Ciderworks
    • Saw the outside space
    • S.C will offer 4, 10×10 tents
    • Each artists must have their own table
      • Must have backing grids
    • ACW will need to get chairs 
    • Ciderworks will arrange for a food truck
    • Will need about an hour for clean up 
    • Musician area seems fine
    • Decisions have been made about nametags
    • 20 people accepted to ADP are welcome to show inside as well as four on the committee
    • Alison Price will wrangle the 2 month long show and request things from the participants 
    • Action: Susan add that if anyone would like to rent “pro panels” for their table they may contact Layl 

ADP Music update

  • Ad posted on NEEMA’s newsletter
  • Extended deadline until June – gives us more time
  • Agreed that Marco would be a candidate – but will still have a listening session and make decision on others
  • Action: Layl send Louanne? Contact information who wanted to help on this ^

Other/Announcements 

  • Anyone feel free to reach out to Barbara if they want to meet anyone at ACW! 
  • Layl – Clay Squared is hiring a 2 month paid intern for clay making! No ceramics experience required! Looking to hire asap. 
  • Promote our call for musicians for the ADP event!
