After owning and working in community newspapers for more than 40 years (Northeaster, North News – Minneapolis), Margo Ashmore dedicates her current work to addressing climate change. She served Better Futures Minnesota, marketing Deconstruction Services and was a 2024-2025 Green Corps Member at city of Minneapolis Solid Waste and Recycling. Her work centers on prevention of waste, and reuse/rental/repair/upcycling.

At ACW Margo was part of the Mississippi River Pearl cohort, a Mystery Trash Remix artist (“Humans vs. Machines”). She painted the World HQ radiators.

Margo Ashmore, Agent of Change LLC, promotes arts as tools for information gathering and to inspire action. Her unique cross-disciplinary skill set includes events for multi-venue promotional alliances and shepherding strategic community partnerships with excellent earned media results. Trained through countless small workshops and hard knocks, as well as the Community Leadership Institute and the Institute for Community Cultural Development. BA in Journalism.
