To nurture social justice practices through the art of photography. There is truth and honesty in an
unfiltered image: for this call we are only accepting photos without postproduction processes or
manipulation through AI.
All Minnesota photographers over 18 are welcome to apply. There is no application fee. We welcome all types of cameras, digital and film photography.
ACW MISSION. Art to Change the World (ACW) is a diverse non-profit coalition of changemakers
employing the arts in service of positive social change. We are a 501(c)3 organization overseen by a ten-person board of directors.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Black & white, and color for submission
- All entrants must be 18 years or older and residents of Minnesota
- Acceptance is at the discretion of the jurors.
- Artist Statement must accompany submission, and will be printed with the artist’s work. 200 words or less. The Statement should speak to the social justice theme of the work.
Submission Fees
- No Fee
Image Submission Formatting
All submissions must be digital files submitted through our online submission form.
- File Format – JPEG (.jpg)
- Image Size – 72 ppi, with the longest side no more than 1920 pixels
- File Size – 8MB or smaller
- File Naming – Use the format: 1_LastName_FirstName_
- Example: 1_Jones_Amy.jpg, jpg
- Image list with the file name and artwork title

Awards: The following awards will be presented:
- Best in Show: $200
- 2nd $150
- 3rd $100
Exhibit Artwork Submission & Printing for Selected Artists
Selected photos should be delivered framed and wired for hanging, no sawtooth hangers.
Exhibition Frame & Print Size
- Final Print Size not to exceed 18” in length or width
Sales & Archive
- ACW takes a 20% commission on all sales of original artwork to support future exhibitions.
- Selected works will be archived on ACW website
Copyright & Usage Rights
- Artists retain all copyrights to their images.
- By submitting, artists grant Art to Change the World a non-exclusive right to use their images for:
- Exhibition display
- Promotion of the artist and related programs
- Online exhibition archives
- Social media and website features
- The artist’s name will always be credited wherever their work is displayed.
