I made up the word G(g)od(s) because people would reference “God”, I would always wonder, and sometimes ask, “Which God would that be?”

There are over 4300 different religions on the planet. Most of them have their own G(g)od(s). Many of these religions do good work feeding the poor, sheltering the homeless and encouraging their parishioners to follow doctrines which preach positive human values. There are many sects that have multiple versions – sometimes because a man wanted to be in charge and could not seize the power, or wanted to be G(g)od(s) sanctioned to have sex with young girls, or to leave a church which had lost their way, or sometimes even because of large and small doctrinal differences.

Here are the top 6 religions:

Christianity (2.1 billion)
Islam (1.3 billion)
Nonreligious (Secular/Agnostic/Atheist) (1.1 billion)
Hinduism (900 million)
Chinese traditional religion (394 million)
Buddhism 376 million

Most religions have the same core belief- all the other religions are going to hell. This idea, of course, is a statistical impossibility and does not apply to Agnostics or Atheists since they do not believe in heaven OR hell. When considering the 7 billion people on the planet, how could ANYONE believe that THEIR truth is THE truth? The arrogance and ignorance of this kind of delusional bubble thinking takes my breath away.

Finally, the hateful, murderous actions that some of these religious groups take in the name of their G(g)od(s) is terrifying. It seems there are no boundaries. Rape, incest, genocide, child enslavement and abuse are all practiced. They point to their religious doctrine as the justification but it is much more basic. These religious aggressors just want your land, your women and your stuff.
