Aging as an Artform  empowers and gives  purpose and community to a group of nine author/artists.  They embraced and celebrated their lived experiences both in the past and as they look toward the future. The exhibit will include original artwork created for this project.

These author/artists met and wrote from January-June 2026. The essays are meant to honor and celebrate the comedy of the human condition by drawing on the participants’ experiences with the  elderly – themselves or others.
These are general works that will include strategies for coping and may serve as inspiration to others.

Authors: Holly Tappen, Karen McDonald, Kelly Frankenberg, Linda Fox, Craig Harris, Liisa Le, Barbara Bridges,  Freya Hanson, Pat Rogers
Publication Advisor:  Bree  Bridges
Musical Premiere: Tapestry of Time by Dave Dvorak
Project Manager: Barbara Bridges

Luscious full color hard copy books have been printed. Each author will receive a $300 participation fee and two copies of the book. Books will be distributed to at least 15 facilities which would benefit from owning this artwork.  Books will also  be available to buy at cost – $25, with no profits sought.

Funded by Mike Vennewitz
