To prepare for the installation of the 20 Mystery Trash Remix projects on Thursday, October 23rd (10 AM – 5 PM), we need to collect key information for each piece. We understand that all pieces will be 3D to some degree. If your project is needing the wall for hanging only it will be considered 2D. If you need wall and floor space space then we will consider this and free standing projects 3D. Please indicate in your measurements how much of each.
NOTE: If you have completed your piece send a photo to Layl at layl@claysquared.com so she can use it for promotions. If you want to send her a quote about the project please do! It’s not too late to share your local paper so she can send an article in.
We are asking you to create your own framed Artist Statement. It should include the following information:
- Artist Statement
- 1) The inspiration behind your artwork,
- 2) Any surprising or meaningful moments while working with the materials,
- 3) How did this experience influence your view of waste?
- 3 Work-in-Progress Photos
- List of Items Used
- Format the statement the way you want and include a bit of your leftover Mystery Trash. See below the Submission Template Guide so you have a reference of what to include.
Please fill and submit the following Google Form MTR INFORMATION by 10/18/2025. Below are the questions you will need to fill out in the form.
- Is your project 2D? (indicate wall hanging only)
- Is your project 3D? (indicate wall and floor space or free standing)
- Is your project free standing?
- Do you need a stand for your project? Include dimensions of the stand needed.
- Dimensions (Height x Width x Depth, in inches)
- Final Title
- Inform us: if you will need time to assemble items of your project. We will have designated assembly areas so artists are not stumbling over one another.
Installation Thursday October 23rd
- Installation of your MTR creations between 10AM to 5PM. Enter with your artwork at The Flux Hub using the garage door on Howard St NE. Use the address 699 Howard in GPS to come to this side of the building.
- Installation designations will be given to you.
- The installation is up to you with our helping hands.
- Bring the hardware needed. ( screws, hanging wire, tape etc.)
- Bring supplies to repair any damages.
- We will have tools for hanging including:
- Step ladder
- Drill and drill bits
- Screwdriver and hammers
- Inform us: if you will need time to assemble items we will have designated assembly areas, ask where they are located.
