Art Fairs!

Spring and Fall St. Paul Art Crawl – there are a lot of businesses and locations offering free spots which are the only ones I do

Art-A-Whirl – there are always locations available for free tabling, many of the busier ones charge though – I’ve only done the free ones

Jackson Street Farmers Market has (or did last year anyway) free tabling for artists only not free for farmers/cottage producers

St. Timothy Book Mobile event – free for vendors

Last minute pop ups all year long are usually free – keep your eyes open in the art newsletters

I have hosted art events that are free to vendors at Van Cleve Park for a couple of years

Art in the Hollow – Swede Hollow Park in St. Paul – they were free last time I went anyway but were talking about charging $15 in the future sometime

Marydale Festival is always free – volunteer run, beautiful park

Fox Den in the Solar Arts building for ACW members – free to sell at during the special events throughout the year

There are some bookstores and coffee shops in Minneapolis with free pop ups pretty often like Bone Shaker Books and the coffee shop next to it.

Oftentimes the free events give you less foot traffic but you aren’t out anything by going other than your time to set up and tear down.  Most of the things I sell are under $10 so paying to go to an event isn’t worth it usually with the exception of 2 that I paid for in the past.  They are still very inexpensive so I can easily make back the tabling fee and make a profit too.
