Artist Bio: Sushila Anderson
I’m a fifteen time award winning glass artist living in Blaine, MN. I started working in glass in 2008 and I have continued to evolve. I have made significant achievements and commissions in fused glass, stained glass, stained glass restorations, glass mosaics, and glass painting. I have taken several glass classes as well as teaching; and workshops in Minneapolis, MN and Chicago, IL. My formal educational background is an Associates degree in Graphic Design and a Bachelors of Elective Studies.
Artist Statement: Sushila Anderson
My greatest inspiration comes from the art nouveau movement, especially the work of Alphonsa Mucha. The glass pieces I create but are contemporary in myself of bold colors, high contrast, flowing details, use organic forms and floral designs.
