Read projected budget–end of April net positive $29K with $98K in the bank
As of meeting on 8/12, have $40,530 guaranteed after expenses not including other expected income
Grants & Funding
MRAC applied for $24,000 operations based
Grant writing committee started–compiling spreadsheet including list potential grants, who is working on it, amount, etc.

3 Year Campaign
Currently in 3rd year–next 3 year campaign in the works
Expecting to exceed $175,000 in 2026, if so, we can apply to the operations grant from Minnesota Arts Board

Highlights of Projects
Beacon of Light–Annual Showcase; allowed us to showcase interns, other projects, art call
Art-A-Whirl; nearly 3,000 people came through!
Social Media; increase in views, follows, overall engagement on Facebook and Instagram; pushing people to sites and specific projects; running a few ads for big events/projects (i.e. Aging As An Artform event at Open Book)
Aging As An Artform; great project and event coming up at Open Book on Sept 3rd
Salons; more and more new members coming to the various salons
Critique Club (C4); happening every 2 months, people can sign up to share their work with a group and answer questions, receive feedback, etc.
Look for the Union Label; looking for new home for incredible quilt created by Rebecca; Barbara sent packets out for many different local museums inquiring about interest; Baraba to send info to Herman re: the Weisman Museum; Pat–potential contact for museum in Chicago?
Interns; Barbara, Layl, and Kelly are all working with Interns this semester
Cabin Fever Reliever; 8-10 classes virtual classes offered throughout the winter months and already have several things lined up for upcoming winter
Treasures Gallery; membership and volunteer hours up to date people can list their artwork for sale, current client is Common Bond and they buy art to furnish their buildings; 2 new buildings in Edina confirmed!
Health Initiative; new project in development to offer to members focusing on wellness for body, mind and spirit
Fox Den; Gallery in Solar Arts, run by Frances Bates who coordinates the art shows, solo shows, events, etc.
Congrats! Layl, Barbara, and Sushia all applied and got accepted into the Minnesota State Fair with their artwork!!
