Corporate Capitulation

Call For Artist Participation in Corporate Capitulation and Complicity Exhibition

By Ted Greenbaum

Minnesota has been experiencing the effects of federal governmental overreach through Operation Metro Surge which has inflicted significant economic and deadly harm on our state. Our fellow neighbors and citizens have risen to defend against the siege, however the corporate and institutional entities in our state and beyond have been either silent, noncommittal or capitulatory.

This is a call for participation by 3 to 6 artists in an art exhibition entitled Corporate Capitulation and Complicity (subtitled What your consumer dollars support). The goal of the exhibition is to illustrate the connection between corporate capitulation and complicity and the real-world consequences of that capitulation and complicity, allowing the viewer to reflect on and consider the consequences of their consumer decisions and political perspectives.

The initial exhibition will premiere late October, 2026 at the The Hub at Flux Arts Building in northeast Minneapolis with sights set to tour the exhibition to other galleries after the initial exhibition at The Hub. An opening exhibition event will include live music, contests and prizes. There is a modest budget for artist compensation and material costs. Additional funding will also be pursued.
