AAAA empowers and gives purpose and community to a group of 6-10 author/artists. They embraced and celebrated their lived experiences both in the past and as they look toward the future.
They met and wrote from January- June 2026 . The essays are meant to honor and celebrate the comedy of the human condition by drawing on the participants’ experiences with the elderly – themselves or others. These are general works that will include strategies for coping and may serve as inspiration to others.
Authors: Holly Tappen, Karen McDonald, Kelly Frankenberg, Linda Fox, Craig Harris, Liisa Le, Barbara Bridges, Freya Hanson, Pat Rogers, Publication Advisor: Bree Bridges, Musician: Dave Dvorak, Project Manager: Barbara Bridges
Funded by Mike Vennewitz.

Luscious full color hard copy books have been printed. Each author will receive a $300 participation fee and two copies of the book. Books will be distributed to at least 15 facilities which would benefit from owning this artwork. Books will also be available to buy at cost – $25, with no profits sought.
An ongoing writing group led by Barbara and other ACW members may continue to build community after the Exhibition event.
Art To Change The World has also found funding for moderators and guests to inspire and encourage ongoing participant access and success. There will be many opportunities for current ACW members to serve as both paid and volunteer consultants for the various components of the program.
