DESCRIPTION:A message from Frances Bates  \nHello ACW\, \nMy name is Frances and I have my first ever solo art show coming up. I have been making art since I was little\, so this is a dream come true. If you are curious why you keep seeing me use a tiger design for everything\, I’ll tell you the story. White tigers specifically have been my favorite animal ever since I can remember. That love of tigers lead me to include it in emails\, social media accounts\, and of course my art workshop. Many of those close to me have been recipients of my art and now I am sharing it with the world. SUMMARY:Mississippi Watershed Management Organization Project - Studio Day
DESCRIPTION:This project leads 10 people (diverse culturally and by age) and selected from the larger MWMO neighborhood population\, to meet\, collect trash along the Mississippi and participate in an immersive curriculum unit which will be collaboratively developed by Barbara\, the MWMO staff and the participants themselves \nBarbara’s artform focuses on re-cycle\, re-purpose and create. All participants will then collaboratively design and create an elegant artwork using the debris and other natural objects. The project participants will meet 5 times between September and December. \nAll participants will be encouraged to design\, lead and implement their own environmental project going forward. \nLearn more about the project here. \nOctober 8\, 2022 1:00PM- 4:00 PM  Studio Day at Barbara’s Studio at 2323 Monroe St NE \, Minneapolis.
